A significant amount of Bitcoin, mined in the network's early days, has moved after 16 years of inactivity. On-chain analysis firm Whale Alert tracked 600 BTC from 12 separate mining rewards. There is no known link to Satoshi Nakamoto.

Recently, a notable amount of Bitcoin, 600 BTC, moved after remaining untouched for 16 years. These coins originated from early mining rewards, often called 'Satoshi-era' Bitcoin because they were created soon after the network began. The on-chain tracking service, Whale Alert, detected this activity. They found 12 separate mining rewards that had become active again. However, their analysis confirmed that these specific coins are not connected to Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin. This movement shows older parts of the Bitcoin network stirring.
